Prof. Pwaveno Huladeino Bamaiyi is a man who crossed continents, seas and oceans to explore and conquer the heights of knowledge and science and a believer in possibilities. 1. Biographical Overview Professor Pwaveno Huladeino Bamaiyi is a distinguished Nigerian scholar in Veterinary Public Health, Food safety, Microbiology, Epidemiology, and Preventive Medicine. Born to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Arnobius Tolo Bamaiyi on January 6, 1973, in the ancient city of Kano, Nigeria, and originally from Numan, Adamawa State, he has built an internationally recognized career spanning Nigeria, Malaysia, and Uganda. He is married to Gyihya Miriam Bamaiyi and blessed with children: Precious-Anni, Blessing Divine and Increase Praise. He is multilingual, speaking English, Hausa, Bachama, with basic proficiency in Malay and Runyankole. His academic career reflects a strong commitment to zoonotic disease control, One Health advocacy, food safety, vaccinology, and antimicrobial resistance research. 2. Deanship His tenure as dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Jos from 9th December, 2022 to date has witnessed remarkable achievements as a great team player. Relocating the faculty from the Bauchi Road campus against all odds to the Naraguta Campus completely without a single Dept or unit left behind and without incurring debt. 2. Laying the foundation and completing the Deanery 3. Attracting research grants and project grants. The faculty currently has the highest number of grants in the entire university and more are on the way. 4. Hosting the first anthrax public awareness seminar in the entire country on Wednesday 26th July, 2023, in the phase of the anthrax outbreak in July 2023 with positive ripple effects across plateau and the entire country. 5.
